While walking around with Byron on, I felt a sense of being at home even though the place were this pictures was taken is only about an hour drive from my house. Black bears used to live in abundance in Texas but were hunted during the cowboy days because they were killing off the longhorns during cattle drives and continued to eat ranchers cattle also and even though this big boy was not originally taken here, I felt like he belonged.


Disclaimer: This bear was not killed for me nor did I buy him and then have him killed. He was taken legally because he was becoming too invasive for safety. He was made into a headdress by Her amazing work brought back some life into him.
